Proofing training in public settings is important for reliability post board & train.

Public settings don’t always have to be stored but they should be settings that their owners will expect their pup to be reliable in!

Step 1. Build engagement indoors through hand feeding meals

Step 2. Build marker works “yes” - terminal marker & “good” duration marker through hand feeding

Step 3. Now with charged markers, step outside & use them in this new context

Slowly but surely your dog will become more responsive & will intuitively be looking to you for direction rather than mindlessly walking around with no awareness.
